Your PDF never leaves your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
How it works
- Open your PDF. The file stays on your device the whole time.
- Place the date. Today's date is pre-filled; switch the format or edit the text, then click where it belongs.
- Download. The date is embedded into the PDF, ready to send or file away.
Tired of dating documents by hand?
A manual date stamp works for one-off files. For contracts, the date that matters is when each party actually signed, and this tool cannot capture that:
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and edited entirely inside your browser. It never touches our servers, and nothing is stored when you close the page.
Can I add dates to multiple places or pages?
Yes. Click to place as many date stamps as you need, on any pages, before downloading the result.
Which date formats are supported?
US format (MM/DD/YYYY), international format (DD/MM/YYYY), and the written-out form (Month D, YYYY). You can also type any custom text into the date field.
Is a typed date on a PDF legally valid?
Generally yes for most business documents. A typed date shows when the document says it was executed. If the execution date might ever be disputed, an e-signature platform records a verified timestamp in an audit trail, which is much stronger evidence.
Can dates be filled in automatically when people sign?
Not with this tool, but yes with Zignt: add a date field next to each signature field and it is captured automatically at the moment each person signs, with a matching audit-trail timestamp.
